Description

The car in this gallery is a Lamborghini 350 GT with a special coupe body, designed by Ercole Spada. The series Lamborghini 350 GTs were designed and bodied by Touring, only two chassis received a body by Zagato: #0310 and #0322. These two cars became the Lamborghini 3500 GTZ.

The new body was mounted on a 10 cm shortened 350 GT chassis. Finished in white with a black vinyl interior, chassis #0310 made its salon debut at the 1965 London Motor Show and went on to star in Paris a few weeks later. Car 0310 was later sold to ex-race driver Marchese Gerino Gerini who was also Lamborghini's official agent in Milan during that period. Gerini later sold to car to a fortunate customer in Australia who had it converted to right-hand drive and repainted in red. A few years ago the car was bought by a German collector who shipped it to The Netherlands for a full restoration. It was converted back to left hand drive and repainted in white.

The second car, chassis #0320, was first owned by Mr Stanzani and was later sold to a customer in the United States. The car was painted silver with a black interior. Rumours were this car was later destroyed in an accident and was damaged beyond repair. This has never been officially confirmed, though.
