Description

This lovely Bugatti T43 (#43198) wears a one-off Zagato Roadster suit. At some time, the Zagato body was replaced by a more modern looking Roadster coachwork by Erdmann & Rossi. It seems T43 #43198 no longer exists and the Erdmann & Rossi body was transplanted onto a T55 chassis.

Update 20-05-2012 by Andreas Arrgård:
"It claims that "T43 #43198 no longer exists" which I believe is wrong. The history of that chassis is pretty well documented by members of the Swedish Bugatti section. It is also in my possession. The Zagato body restored on an "unknown" frame was owned by Joseph Nemeth in Hungary last I heard. I beleve it was for sale last year...
I also believe that the history of "Roadster coachwork by Erdmann & Rossi"  can be traced. The very first body on the 43198 frame is unknown as far as I know. 
My grandfather bought the car with the Zagato body in the mid 60´s. The body was replaced in the restoration by one built by him in the early 70´s. As he no longer needed it, he sold it on...".
