As far as we know, despite Tüscher being an Alfa Romeo importer, this is the only Alfa Romeo bodied by Tüscher.
In 1934, Alfa Romeo engineer Vittorio Jano created a new generation of Alfa Romeo powerplants: the dual overhead camshaft 6C2300. This engine continued the long stroke that gave Alfa's engines high torque for drivability while adopting an improved light alloy cylinder head with chain driven camshafts. In 1939, the bore was increased, creating the 6C2500 with 2,443 cc displacement. Alfa had established its own coachworks in 1933 and clothed some of the 6C chassis itself, however most 6Cs were provided on special order for custom coachwork, among them the 1939 6C2500 pictured here.
Copies of the original records show delivery of chassis #913014 on November 1, 1939 to a "Herr Direktor Weber" who had ordered a two door 2+2 convertible, colour two tone gray, the same colours it displays today. This unique Alfa Romeo Alfa Romeo 6C2500 with its original chassis, engine and unique one-off coachwork was restored over an eight year period.
These 6C Alfa Romeo models are superb road machines. Most, however, were bodied with Italian coachwork by Alfa and coachbuilt examples built outside of Italy, like this Tüscher-bodied example, are very rare.

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them.
Congratulations on an excellent website.
