Description

After Georges Paulin had designed the first steel retractable roof constructed by Pourtout on a Hotchkiss, Paulin had a second car constructed with his '32 patented system.
The first 301 based prototype was constructed with the financial aid of a relative from Georges Paulin and with support from Emile Darl'Mat.

The Parisian Peugeot dealer and tuner Emile Darl'Mat was very happy with the result and started to sell the Pourtout/Paulin specials in his dealership.
Emile even convinced Peugeot to adopt the roof system for more of their models.
Eclipse variations were constructed on the 301, 401, 601 and 402 models by Peugeot and Pourtout.

TESTIMONIALS

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them. Congratulations on an excellent website.
