This Rolls-Royce was sold new through Jack Barkley Ltd. to Sir William Firth of Hatchford Park, Cobham Surrey on the 2nd of January 1934.
The last of only 13 Sports Saloons to be produced by the highly regarded coachbuilder Park Ward.
Wonderfully elegant with its long wheelbase and Art Deco interior and matching luggage which it still retains unaffected today. The back of the front seats amazingly still carry their fold down table and fitted features such as silver vanity mirror, folding travel brush, miniature works of Shakespeare, silver hip flask, cigarette case, and magnifying glass.
I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them.
Congratulations on an excellent website.
