Ghia Supersonic Aston Martin DB2-4 1956
Besides Fiats, Jaguars and one Alfa Romeo, the Ghia Supersonic design by Giovanni Savonuzzi has also been applied only one time to an Aston Martin DB2/4.
DB2/4 #AM300/1132 was sold to racing driver Harry Schell.
The car was exhibited at the 1956 Turin Motor Show and then disappeared from view.
It is believed the car still exists somewhere in the USA.
These incredibly rare pictures were found by 'Supersonic expert', Erik Nielsen, and show the pristine car in 1956 and again at sometime in the early 1970's, still in the US, but less well cared for.
It is said the car was originally finished in pale green with beige leather upholstery.
I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them.
Congratulations on an excellent website.
