The 1939 Bugatti Type 57 Stelvio (#57740) pictured here was owned by a Mr. John F. Comey. The Gangloff Convertible body was finished in black, when it was first registered in 1939. It would stay in the possession of Mr. Comey for nearly 50 years during which time it was treated to a long-term restoration.
This right hand drive T57 is now finished in a lavender and white color combination with a red leather interior, a wood dash and a wood steering wheel. The exterior features a lavender cloth top, a matched set of Marchal headlights and the elegant six-barrel stainless exhaust tip.

I am not a natural flatterer, I like to think that I "tell it like it is", politely I hope. So when I tell you that I am very impressed by the contents of your website, it is just not English politeness. I of course love the subject matter but you deal with it in an energetic and respectful manner. I am overwhelmed by the research that has gone into compiling the list of coachbuilders/bodybuilders for Europe and North America. I have never heard of the vast majority of them.
Congratulations on an excellent website.
