Description

This aluminium Alfa Romeo Berlinetta Sport is the only survivor of the 10 short chassis cars that were built by Castagna. This model was built for the 1940 Mille Miglia, but unfortunately the '40 Mille Miglia was never run. Originally the car was built with the normal 2.3-liter six-cylinder engine, but this car now has one of two prototype 3.5-liter V12 engines (as planned by Alfa Romeo) designed by Colombo.
