This is Costin's aerocar named 'Auto V'.
It's mid-engined with a three-cylinder two-stroke DKW-mill and weighs 440 kg's.
Thanks to its drag coefficient of around 0.28 it could do 0-100 in 8.3 secs en managed 104 mph.
This all in 1961.
Cool?
Yes!

COSTIN AMIGO

The Costin Amigo was a lightweight sports car built in the United Kingdom in the 1970s. It was designed by Frank Costin and built in Little Staughton, Bedfordshire. Its 2-litre engine and running gear came from the Vauxhall VX 4/90, but its plywood monocoque frame and aerodynamic fibreglass body gave it a top speed of 137 mph (220 km/h), and a quoted 0-60 time of 7.2 sec. Only eight (or nine, depending on the source) cars were ever sold. (from Wikipedia)

TMC COSTIN

The TMC Costin was a lightweight sports car built from 1983 to 1987 at the Thompson Motor Company in Wexford, Ireland. It was intended to be an Irish-made rival to Lotus Seven-inspired cars as manufactured by companies such as Caterham and Westfield. The cars were very successful in racing, but just 39 cars were built before TMC went bankrupt in 1987. The chassis rights were sold to the American Daniel Panoz, founder of Panoz Auto Development, who used it to construct the Panoz Roadster.

COSTIN SPORTS ROADSTER

The Costin Sports Roadster is a lightweight mid-engined sports car that was intended for initial launch in the mid 1990s. A prototype test bed chassis was finished in 1991 at Costin Ltd in Wales. Another car was finished in the mid nineties with revised body styling but was not road registered until recently. In total 6 chassis were constructed and 2 bodies. The company Costin Ltd went into liquidation following unsuccessful attempts to find funding for the venture. (from Wikipedia)

Hello all, new to this forum, thanks for having me in.

Does anybody know anything, or have some other images, of the Costin scale model attached?

I think it could be related to the blue open sportscar shown above, but this was more ambitious; should have had V8 F1 Cosworth power and top 220mph.

Thanks a lot.
