Congratulations for your interesting site, thank you for showing all these beautiful cars !

The original car had no traffic lights and no air vent on the wings. A little windshield in front of the driver was fitted and the front grille was not fixed inside.

I just found this image here: http://www.mroks.com/

The car has a larger wind screen and the radiator is also slightly different.

This one looks different. Did Barou built more than one Spider, or was the car modified ?

Hi Tommy !

Oblin create only these two XK120, the first built was the roadster and the second was the Coupé.

The first appears with different windscreens along the years.

Regards, Calou

Hello Tommy !

The Coupe Barou that you show is not the Jaguar but a Talbot-Lago according to a french revue whose I have a copy.

More infos to the coupe Jaguar Barou here : http://www.xkdata.com/cars/detail/?car=670028

Others pix are in the Roland Urban's book "Les metamorphoses du Jaguar" showing the car in a magnify red.

Regards

Possible another one given the different grill design.

Hello Galrot,

I agree your 2 pics about the coupé XK120 Barou different of mine. According to the book of Bernard Viart "Jaguar XK : la compétition sur route dans les années 1950", this car ran in this form in the Lyon-Charbonnières rallye 1954 number 90 drived by Rebatel and Trillat, in the Lyon-Charbonnières rallye 1955 number 135 drived by Rebatel and Peterson, in Liège-Rome -Liège rally in 1955 number 97 drived by Robert Babolat and George Sangan, DNF.

The book show photos about all these events.

I found that Robert Babolat win the Limousin rallye 1955 in a Jaguar, I can't confirm if he do it with the same car.

I am searching others infos when Rebatel drove it.

Best wishes for 2017 for all
