A short story:
Carlo Marazzi founded the Carrozzeria Marazzi company in 1967 and located the workshop in Caronno Pertusella, outside Milan, with the help of his sons Serafino and Mario. Until the1966 the Marazzis were employed at the Touring superleggera company in Terrazzano where they were involved in the project of the Lamborghini 400 GT.
After the Touring bankruptcy Ferruccio Lamborghini commissioned to the Marazzi company the project of the Lamborghini Islero. Marazzi, thanks to the former Touring workers and to the designer Formenti, produced 125 Islero copies. Later he developed the Jarama for Lamborghini again (1970), the 18 copies of the Alfa Romeo 33 stradale (1967), a few Alfa Romeo nuova Giulia Promiscua (1973), 2 Alfa Romeo 90 station wagon prototypes (designed by the Auto Capital magazine, 1985).
Marazzi also built various hearses, based on various Mercedes-Benz specimens, in the '90s and the Fiat Punto cabrio Bricò prototype (1994).
His latest works includes: Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Spider prototype, commissioned by the Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, the armoured Land Rover Discovery 3 for the italian Police and the armoured Alfa Romeo 159.
