Hi,

I also have no more infos about the Fiat-Moretti 1500-convertible, only a b/w-picture (15x10cm, the car has 15x6cm on it). What 'built in ...'-year do You have for it? So, I can check the GERman car-magazines of the time for more ...,

... with greetings to You, Frank(Wo)

Hi everybody!
I posted those pictures in Autopuzzles so they are available for all the comunity.
There are some pictures of the 1500 Cabriolet and if someone need better quality ones, I can post them again with some info. I really love these cars and I'm trying to put them all togheter in the same place, starting from the (relatively) minor ones....that's why I like this place as well!
Ciao,
Francesco aka PJ

Does this car also belong here? Does somebody have a picture in "normal" state?

Gehört dieser Wagen auch hierher? Hat jemand ein Bild in 'normalen' Zustand?

Hi! Thanks for the welcome and sorry for the late reply...I looked in my Quattroruote from the 60's but there is a picture of the coupe and there is written that it was available also as a cabriolet. In one of my books there is the ad shown in the Autopuzzles site, if you like I can post that picture again in an highier resolution. There is not written anything about the production but Moretti keep them in production for 3 years without changes and then came up with the new version in 1963. I will keep on looking for it and when\if I'll find something I will inform you.
Ciao,

Francesco

I think that Alberto Fornai was very creative with this one because I am almost sure that this is a 'photoshopped' version of the coupé picture that appeared in the first post of this thread.

The fabolous "tris" presented at Turin motor Show in 1950: all the cars are based on Fiat 600 chassis, but they have the special head by Moretti.
The berlinetta 4 seats, the cabriolet 4 seats and the marvellous, i think, giardiniera, the same solutions adopted by Francis Lombardi in the "Saloncino", with listels in oak wood.
The tyres are the Pirelli Sempione white band, presented in 1950, assembled on Fergat wheels.

Is this correct?
The Fiat 600 only appeared in 1955.
I believe these Moretti 600's were 100% Moretti products without (major) Fiat involvement.

Hi,

yes, it is correct:
Based on the Fiat 500B Moretti was creating his 600 in the last 1950-days. For this also the 500-engine grows up to 592ccm/15kw-20PS. The production starts in autumn-1951. The 1st serie with door-stop b-pillar was <200 cars, then it follows <1.800 cars (1952>57) with door-stop a-pillar, based on the Fiat-500C ...,

... FWo ;)

Not based on a Fiat 1500, but at least a very similar design:
